Volunteer Your Time

Volunteering at Silver Creek Animal Sanctuary can be a rewarding and enjoyable experience. Not only will you make new human and four-legged friends, but you can experience the well-documented health benefits of interacting with animals as well as the emotional fulfillment that comes from being in a beautiful, healthy, healing environment (there is a very good reason the goats insisted on living on top of the Sanctuary property).

As a working farm and non-profit charity, we have an enormous range of volunteer activities one may participate in depending on one’s personal health status and interests.

Our list of volunteer tasks (see below) encompasses everything from farm work and animal interaction to organic gardening activities. For those who prefer activities of a more clerical nature, we have the ever important office duties, PR activities, and humane education. We also have many activities that can be done from one’s own home.

Teaching volunteers the activities they are interested in is initially a time-consuming process for the staff and for that reason we request a commitment of at least 4 hours monthly for a minimum of 6 months.
