Our Mission
At Silver Creek Animal Sanctuary, Inc., our mission is to exemplify and encourage compassion for animals and humanity by the provision of a permanent and loving home for ill, abused, and neglected goats and llamas; and to provide a healing and learning environment with these animals for special needs children and adults.
We believe in actively striving to improve the animal and human condition in a socially responsible manner and through the interactive support between non-profit charities and organizations.
Our Family

Four-LeggedThere are over eighty goats at the sanctuary, seven llamas, one dog, and a crew of cats. Each has a name and a distinct personality. You may recognize Percival (right), who reads with children at the Library and acts as Sanctuary Ambassador at many local events. And who could resist tall, handsome Tony
Llama (below)! |

Two-LeggedSanctuary founder and current President of the Board of Directors is Dr. Sophie Dojacques (right). She enjoys a special relationship with all of the sanctuary residents, most of whom would not be alive but for her kindness and dedication. Sadly,
this same dedication keeps her away from "her kids" – Sophie
funds Sanctuary operations through her work as a locum tenens physician,
substituting for doctors at hospitals all over the country. CLICK HERE
to read more of her story.
